{"id":2067,"date":"2025-05-18T10:16:02","date_gmt":"2025-05-18T10:16:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sports.infosystrainings.com\/?p=2067"},"modified":"2025-05-18T10:16:04","modified_gmt":"2025-05-18T10:16:04","slug":"an-insights-and-tip-filled-fisu-world-university-championships-seminar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sports.infosystrainings.com\/?p=2067","title":{"rendered":"An insights and tip-filled FISU World University Championships seminar"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The 2026 FISU World University Championship season is already well on the way, with 20 organising committees in 17 countries already busy creating logos, defining schedules and generally building their event step by step. 17 of them from 15 countries travelled to FISU headquarters for the traditional three day seminar.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere is nothing like meeting everyone in person to create links, share ideas and find solutions to our problems. Meeting the other organising committees and especially getting to know the FISU staff was invaluable\u201d. Mateusz Mlynczak travelled from Poland to present the work he has done for the Warsaw 2026 FISU World University Championship Futsal, but also to gain guidance, gather minimum requirements and to replace \u201ccold\u201d email addresses with people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The three-day seminar is aimed at sharing a maximum of information from FISU to the organising committees, but also between the different countries too. The 17 organising committees that took part to the seminar will host the following sports:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Beach Sports \u2013 Figueira da Foz, Portugal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cheerleading \u2013 Gothenburg, Sweden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Combat Sports \u2013 Bras\u00edlia, Brazil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cross Country \u2013 Cassino, Italy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finswimming \u2013 Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Futsal \u2013 \u00a0Warsaw, Poland<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Handball \u2013 Pessac, France<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mind Sports \u2013 Liaocheng, China<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Modern Pentathlon \u2013 Madrid, Spain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Orienteering \u2013 Vila Real, Portugal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Padel \u2013 M\u00e1laga, Spain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rowing \u2013 London, Canada<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rugby Sevens \u2013 Stellenbosch, South Africa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shooting Sport \u2013 New Taipei, Chinese Taipei<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sport Climbing \u2013 Bangkok, Thailand<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Triathlon \u2013 Nyon, Switzerland<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weightlifting \u2013 Doha, Qatar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fisu.net\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/alegood-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-84245\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt is really important for us to welcome these organising committees here at FISU headquarters\u201d, highlighted&nbsp;<strong>Alejandro Guerra<\/strong>, Head of Championships and World Cups Department. We can explain our shared responsibilities, stress the co-construction aspect of these events and try to be as complete as possible in anticipating future challenges. Communication is always key between all actors so we can deliver innovative, inclusive and successful events together.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The International University Sports Federation Championships and World Cups Department welcomed the OCs just like these are expected to welcome the participants to their championships. They then gave presentations covering all areas, from branding and sponsorship to website and media, but also protocol, accreditation, technology solutions, and medical.
