{"id":2239,"date":"2025-05-18T11:59:54","date_gmt":"2025-05-18T11:59:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sports.infosystrainings.com\/?p=2239"},"modified":"2025-05-18T12:06:23","modified_gmt":"2025-05-18T12:06:23","slug":"eric-saintrond-decorated-in-hungary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sports.infosystrainings.com\/?p=2239","title":{"rendered":"Eric Saintrond decorated in Hungary"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Hungarian University Sports Federation (MEFS) honoured FISU\u2019s former Secretary General and CEO with the Dr. R\u00f3bert Frenkl Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 8 May 2025, within the ceremonial framework of the MEFS General Assembly held in Budapest, the Hungarian University Sports Federation (MEFS) honoured Eric Saintrond, former Secretary General and CEO of the International University Sports Federation, with the Dr. R\u00f3bert Frenkl Award. The Award was presented by MEFS President, Lajos Mocsai and by Orsolya Frenkl, R\u00f3bert Frenkl\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fisu.net\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Eric_MEFS3-1-1024x783.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-84260\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Eric Saintrond and FISU Executive Committee Member and Chair of the Student Committee \u00c1gnes An\u010di\u0107-Valkai.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to his countless contributions to international university sports, Eric Saintrond significantly supported the development of the Hungarian university sports movement, especially&nbsp;during the preparation of the Summer Universiade bid of Budapest, as well as the bid and preparation of several World University Championships. His support played a key role in strengthening Hungary\u2019s role within the international university sports movement. FISU\u2019s former Secretary General and CEO also shared a very close friendship with former MEFS President, FISU Assessor and Medical Commission Chairman Dr. R\u00f3bert Frenkl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fisu.net\/app\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Eric_MEFS4-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-84259\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">FISU\u2019s former Secretary General and CEO was honoured during MEFS General Assembly in Budapest.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The MEFS Executive Board decided to present Eric Saintrond the Dr. R\u00f3bert Frenkl Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the advancement and development of university sports, both in Hungary and internationally over the course of several decades.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Hungarian University Sports Federation (MEFS) honoured FISU\u2019s former Secretary General and CEO with the Dr. R\u00f3bert Frenkl Award.
